Safety First: Preparing for a Safe and Fun Sailboat Tour
While our sailboat tours are a wonderful adventure, safety is paramount to us.
Here’s how to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip.
1. Listen to the Briefing: Pay close attention to the safety briefing provided by the crew. Knowing the safety procedures can be crucial in an emergency.
2. Wear Your Life Jacket: Even if you’re a strong swimmer, wearing a life jacket is essential. We’ll make sure the one we provide fits properly and please wear it whenever you’re on deck.
3. Know the Signs of Seasickness: Be aware of the symptoms of seasickness, such as dizziness and nausea. Have remedies on hand and don’t hesitate to ask the crew for help.
4. Stay Hydrated: Dehydration can sneak up on you while you’re out in the sun. Drink plenty of water throughout the trip.
5. Be Mindful of the Weather: Weather can change quickly at sea. Trust the crew’s judgment and be prepared for sudden changes by having a light rain jacket or windbreaker.
6. Secure Your Belongings: Keep your valuables in the secure, waterproof bag we provide. This prevents loss or damage due to splashes or sudden movements.
7. Move Carefully: Boats can be unpredictable with waves and wind. Always hold onto railings and move cautiously to avoid slips and falls.
8. Communicate Any Concerns: If you have any health concerns or feel uneasy at any point, communicate with the crew. We’ll be there to ensure your safety and comfort.
